Summary

She’s not about to give him a second chance, even when it comes to love

Halston Baker's career took a nosedive when she crossed paths with Kutter Hayes five years ago。 Now, Halston has rebuilt her life and found success as a gingerbread house designer。 She is thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase her skills at a Las Vegas resort with a life-size gingerbread village。 Little does she know that Kutter, the man who turned her life upside down, is also in town for the finals rodeo。 Despite her head shouting at her to stay far away from the troublesome cowboy, her heart has other plans。

Kutter has his own plans and ambitions for his career as a stock contractor and not a single one of them involve fiery, feisty Halston。 She blames him for ruining her dreams, and is as prickly as his grandmother's pin cushion。 But as Kutter spends more time with Halston, he realizes there is far more to the fascinating woman than her ability to create amazing gingerbread houses。

As the magic of the holiday season wraps around them, Halston and Kutter must decide whether to follow their hearts and pursue love or step away from what might be their chance at a happily ever after。

Dear Miss Baker is a treat for the senses, combing the flavors of the season with the joys only Christmas and first love can bring in a wholesome holiday romance。

Gingerbread Everything! The fourth book in this series wraps up the best Christmas series I think I have ever read。 I’m so happy that I didn’t have to wait months between them。 Halston, The Gingerbread Girl, found her mold, Kutter, and now lives happily ever after。 Sweet stories!Shanna, maybe you could write a new story for this series every year at Christmas。 What an exciting anticipation!

sweet and quirky Christmas romance Another great book。 Kutter and Halston’s first meeting is as bad as it can get。 When the two run into each other again, Kutter is clueless why Halston does not like him。 As the two encounter each other again and again, they get to truly see each other and a romance blossoms。 This is a sweet and quirky Christmas romance。

I really loved this series。 I was so excited when the 4th and last book was released。 Each of the four brought home just how each of the characters faced their personal issues and lives in different ways。 Also, how we learn "how sweat turns into faith" and that always, and always, we are not alone, God is there with us on this life journey。I was the Cookie Lady for many years, the pandemic cut that off for a while, but I could smell the gingerbread in this book。 This was the first year that I ha I really loved this series。 I was so excited when the 4th and last book was released。 Each of the four brought home just how each of the characters faced their personal issues and lives in different ways。 Also, how we learn "how sweat turns into faith" and that always, and always, we are not alone, God is there with us on this life journey。I was the Cookie Lady for many years, the pandemic cut that off for a while, but I could smell the gingerbread in this book。 This was the first year that I have gone back to baking cookies for my extended family, workmates and people I want to appreciate - like at the little Post Office outlet near my home, my hairdresser, the lady at the grocery check out。 Just a reminder that thinking and thanking others, may brighten a gray day for them and even myself。 。。。more

Dear Miss Baker is the perfect sweet ending to the Christmas Letters series。 Kutter and Halston's story had me hooked from the first page and was another one-sitting binge read for me。 I just love the rodeo world as it is written by Shanna Hatfield。 One of my favorite things about this series is the way the books feature events from the previous books but from the different viewpoints of the current book's main characters。 It was fun seeing everyone's version of the same event。 I don't think I c Dear Miss Baker is the perfect sweet ending to the Christmas Letters series。 Kutter and Halston's story had me hooked from the first page and was another one-sitting binge read for me。 I just love the rodeo world as it is written by Shanna Hatfield。 One of my favorite things about this series is the way the books feature events from the previous books but from the different viewpoints of the current book's main characters。 It was fun seeing everyone's version of the same event。 I don't think I can pick a favorite/least favorite character from this series because I really loved them all!I received a complimentary copy and all opinions are my own。 。。。more

Talk about getting off on the wrong foot。 Several years ago, our hero, Kutter Hayes, accidently caused our heroine, Halston Baker, to do a face-plant into a manure-laden mud puddle。 That caused the demise of Halston's rising star but also caused her career to take off in an entirely different direction as the guru of everything gingerbread。 With her fame on the rise, she gets the lucrative Christmas season bid to do a massive life-sized gingerbread village in one of Las Vegas's hotels。 Kutter is Talk about getting off on the wrong foot。 Several years ago, our hero, Kutter Hayes, accidently caused our heroine, Halston Baker, to do a face-plant into a manure-laden mud puddle。 That caused the demise of Halston's rising star but also caused her career to take off in an entirely different direction as the guru of everything gingerbread。 With her fame on the rise, she gets the lucrative Christmas season bid to do a massive life-sized gingerbread village in one of Las Vegas's hotels。 Kutter is also in town as a stock contractor taking care of quality bucking broncos。 This reviewer felt sort of sorry for poor Kutter as his chance encounter with the beautiful but prickly red-head goes directly south。 Halston blames Kutter for just about everything that has gone wrong while he is baffled by her continued resentment。 Well, by fits and starts, they continue to run into each other and very slowly the real Halston and Kutter emerge and guess what? This German American retiree remembers the days of letter writing。 Therefore I was intrigued by the premise of Shanna Hatfield Christmas Letter series。 The covers of the books with the variety of rural mailboxes caught my attention。 Dear Miss Baker appeals to this German American love of gingerbread and the building of life size gingerbread houses。 Life is a gift and you are my most precious treasure。
